Digital Wulin Arena Competition

The annual Digital Wulin Tournament, formerly the Age of Wushu Wulin Tournament, began in 2012. This year’s event was marked by an important precedent: Snail Game announced it had teamed up with the International Wushu Federation to help further promote wushu culture.

The event that makes use of Snail Game’s epic martial arts MMO, Age of Wushu, and players from around the world face off in an exciting tournament to determine the world champion, compete to break records, and vie for tantalizing prizes.

The Digital Wulin Tournament marks the International Wushu Federation’s collaboration to work with Snail Game in merging cutting edge technology with traditional Chinese martial arts in an international competition setting. The use of video games as a vehicle of cultural export marks a viable new avenue in letting the marvels of wushu culture reach an even wider audience. One of the overarching goals of the International Wushu Federation is to help promote wushu as an event in the Olympic Games, and raising awareness of this amazing martial art through a popular entertainment medium is one step in that direction.
