The IWUF Congress is the highest authority of the IWUF.
The Congress is convened every two years, generally in conjunction with the World Wushu Championships. Normally, a Congress is generally held in person. If the circumstances so require, the IWUF Executive Board can decide to hold a Congress by teleconference, by video conference or by another means of communication.
It consists of delegates from each member federation. The Congress elects and dismisses the members of the Executive Board, except for the Secretary General and Treasurer.
The Congress has the power to approve or to amend the Constitution. It also determines the date and place of the next World Wushu Championships.
