Wushu An Official Sport in Youth Olympic Games
On January 8, 2020, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that wushu is included in Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games. It is the first time that wushu has been included in the YOG sports programme.
The Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games is expected to welcome 48 athletes from all over the world to participate in four events: Men and Women’s Changquan Combined (Changquan & Gunshu), Men and Women’s Taijiquan Combined (Taijiquan & Taijishan).

Taijishan Competition Rules and Judging Methods
On July 30,2020, IWUF releases taijishan competition rules and judging methods on its official website, which is the additional rules (trial) to the IWUF Wushu Taolu Competition Rules & Judging Methods (Excerpt) 2019.
Taijishan Instructional Videos
IWUF launched a new series of taijishan video courses instructed by World Taiji Champion Wang Erping and Chairman of IWUF Judges’ Committee Su Changlai, to guide athletes, coaches and judges in training and refereeing, well in advance of the 2026 Dakar Youth Olympic Games (YOG).
3rd International Wushu Competition Routine Taijishan
Under guidance of IWUF Technical Committee, the 3rd International Wushu Competition Routine-Taijishan has been available to all IWUF members and athletes in 2022 for the preparation for the 2026 Dakar YOG.
Wushu AI Judging System
The IWUF has been exploring the application of AI technologies in the judging of wushu competitions. Preliminary progress has been achieved and the Wushu AI Judging System or “i-Judging” is being developed for the 2026 Dakar YOG.
