6th African Junior Wushu Championships
The 6th African Junior Wushu Championships were successfully held from July 8-12, 2024, at the Marius Ndiaye Stadium in Dakar, Senegal. The event featured two categories: taolu and sanda, attracting wushu athletes from 15 countries including Senegal, Benin, Egypt, Republic of the Gambia, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Nigeria, Uganda, Tunisia, and others. This event marked an important step for Senegal in preparing for the 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
2024 East Africa Wushu Championship
From June 15th to 16th, 2024, the East Africa Wushu Championship was held in Kigali, Rwanda. The event was hosted by the Rwanda Kung Fu Wushu Federation and attracted over 100 participants and wushu enthusiasts from five countries: Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. They collectively showcasing the charm and skills of wushu to the audience. Mr. Wang Xuekun, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Rwanda, Mr. Lin Hang, Minister-Counselor, and Mr. Marc Uwiragiye, President of the Rwanda Kung Fu Wushu Federation attended the event.
11th "Tanglangquan Night" Wushu Exchange Event
On November 2, 2024, the 11th "Tanglangquan Night" Wushu Exchange Event was held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire. Mr. Wu Jie, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Cote d’Ivoire, attended the event. Competitions in sanda, taijiquan, and other disciplines, as well as lion dance and wushu performances, took place, attracting over 200 wushu enthusiasts from countries including Cote d’Ivoire, Belgium, France, Mali, and Togo.
4th Rwanda Junior Wushu Championships
On August 18, 2024, the 4th Rwanda Junior Wushu Championships, organized by the Rwanda Kung Fu Wushu Federation, was held in Muhanga. The event was mainly aimed at children and teenagers aged 4 to 15, with 22 clubs participating in competitions across 18 events.
7th National Traditional Wushu Championships of Morocco
The 7th National Traditional Wushu Championships of Morocco was successfully held in Tamara City from July 18-21, 2024. The event was organized by the Royal Moroccan Wushu Federation, and Mr. Abderrahmane Esannaghi, President of the Royal Moroccan Wushu Federation attended the event.
2024 Kenya 3rd Kungfu Tournament
On April 21, 2024, the 3rd Kungfu Tournament was successfully held in Kiambu County, Kenya. The competition included taolu and sanda events, attracting nearly a hundred athletes, aged 4 to 20 years old, from eight clubs across Kenya, showcasing the charm of wushu to the audience.
