4th WTJQC Day 1: Singapore Won the First Gold Medal of 4th WTJQC with China Taking Home 4 Golds

The 4th World Taijiquan Championships, hosted by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) and organized by the Singapore Wushu Dragon & Lion Dance Association, attracted 325 participants from 32 countries and regions across five continents. As one of the six official events hosted by the IWUF, the World Taijiquan Championships is a world-class Taiji competition aimed at providing a platform for elite Taiji athletes from around the globe to exchange ideas and skills.
 
On the first day of competition, Singapore's Zeanne Law Zhi Ning claimed the first gold medal of the event with a score of 9.700. Meanwhile, China's Wang Yanyu, Qian Kang, Li Yuzhu, and Tong Xin excelled, securing gold medals with scores of 9.710, 9.293, 9.320, and 9.213 respectively, bringing China's total gold medal tally to four on the day.

In the second competition session of the afternoon, various competition events were held, including the Men's New Chen-style Taijijian B Group, Women's New Chen style Taijiquan A&B Group, Men's Simplified 24 Movements Taijiquan A Group, Women's 42 Movements Taijijian A&B, and Men's Sun style Taijiquan (73 Movements) B Group. Each of these categories showcased the diversity and depth of Taijiquan, with athletes demonstrating their skills and dedication to the art.
