4th WTJQC Competition Day 2: Eight Gold Medals and Five First- Prize Awarded

The 4th World Taijiquan Championships, hosted by the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) and organized by the Singapore Wushu Dragon & Lion Dance Association, attracted 325 participants from 32 countries and regions across five continents. As one of the six official events hosted by the IWUF, the World Taijiquan Championships is a world-class Taiji competition aimed at providing a platform for elite Taiji athletes from around the globe to exchange ideas and skills.
 
On the second day of competition, eight events were held, including Men's Optional Taijijian C-A&B, Women's Optional Taijijian C-A&B, Men's 3rd Set Taijiquan (39 Movements) C-A&B, Women's 42 Movements Taijiquan C-A&B, Men's New Yang Style Taijijian C-A&B , Women's New Chen Style Taijijian C-A&B, Men's 42 Movements Taijiquan C-A&B, Women's Simplified 32 Movements Taijijian C-A.Eight gold medals were awarded as a result of these competitions.
 
Chinese athletes Li Yang, Yang Jin, and Deng Zhixuan won the gold medals in Men's Optional Taijijian C-A&B,Women's 42 Movements Taijiquan C-A&B, andWomen's Simplified 32 Movements Taijijian C-A, respectively, with scores of 9.726, 9.306, and 9.196, earning three gold medals for China. The Hong Kong, China team also secured three gold medals, with Yat Sing Leung winning gold in Men's New Yang Style Taijijian C-A&B and Men's 42 Movements Taijiquan C-A&B with scores of 9.180 and 9.123, respectively, and Uen Ying Juanita Mok winning gold in Women's New Chen Style Taijijian C-A&B  with a score of 9.266. The host team Singapore saw Vera Yan Ning Tan claim the gold in Women's Optional Taijijian C-A&B with a score of 9.700. Nguyen Trong Lam from Vietnam took the gold in Men's 3rd Set Taijiquan (39 Movements) C-A&Bwith a score of 9.173.
 
Besides, Egypt, Macao, China, Philippines, and Ukraine each won a silver medal, while Malaysia bagged two bronze medals and France and Canada each secured a bronze medal, making a medal breakthrough for their respective teams at this year's World Taijiquan Championships.
 
On Competition day two, demonstration events for 1 Men's Chen Style Taijijian D-A&B&C,Women's Chen Style Taijiquan D-A&B&C, Men's 42 Movements Taijijian D-A&B&C and Women's Wu Style Taijiquan D-B&C were held, with five athletes awarded first prizes. Among them, the United States and Singapore teams each received two first prizes, while the Hong Kong, China team received one first prize.
