The 17th World Wushu Championships will be held in Brasilia, Brazil from September 7 to 14, 2025. The Braziian Wushu Confederation, with the support of city of Brasilia, is responsible for organizing the 17th WWC under the auspices of the IWUF.
This will be the first time for the World Wushu Championships to be held in Latin America. Brazil has successfully held the 7th World Junior Wushu Championships in 2018 and Pan-America Wushu Championships in 2022. Brasilia is the capital of the country. The city is famous for its iconic modernist architecture, and it has been enlisted as a world heritage by the UNESCO in 2017.
The World Wushu Championships (WWC) is the official world championship event hosted by the IWUF. Those attending the WWC are treated to the highest competitive level within the sport of wushu, both for men's and women's taolu and sanda. First held in 1991, the WWC takes place biennially and is unquestionably the oficial pinnacle championships of the IWUF.

III Competition Rules
Unless otherwise stated within these regulations, the competition will be conducted in accordance with the:
• IWUF Wushu Taolu Competition Rules & Judging Methods(2024)
• IWUF Wushu Sanda Competition Rules & Judging Methods (2024)
The Rules and Methods may be interpreted solely at the discretion of the IWUF.
In the event of language discrepancies in the Rules and Methods, the English text shall prevail.
