The 12th World Games is the o ficial Multi-Sport Game which is hosted by the International World Games Association (IWGA). Most competitions contained in the General Competition Schedule will take place from August 7th to 17th, 2025 in Chengdu, China. On November 29, after being reviewed by the IWUF Technical Committee, the IWUF announced the competition regulations for the wushu competitions at the 2025 Chengdu World Games to all its members.
Wushu has been officially included into the sport program. The competition will be held from August 5 to 13, 2025, at the Sports Center Gymnasium in Chengdu High-tech Zone, China, and is expected to produce 12 gold medals. According to the IWGA General Program, the Wushu Taolu Competition will be held from August 5th to 10th, featuring six all-round events for both men and women, with a total of six gold medals to be awarded. The World Games Series 2024 program which helps building up excitement for TWG 2025 with 6 additional qualification seats in taolu
competition. Therefore, the athletes’ quota of each taolu events was increased from 8 to 9, total taolu athletes in quota increased from 48 to 54. Sanda Competition will be held from August 7th to 13th, featuring 6 events for both men and women, resulting in 6 gold medals, with 48 participants for both genders.

A. DATE & PLACE
1. The Wushu Taolu Competition of The World Games 2025 (TWG 2025) will be held from August 5th- 10th, 2025 in Chengdu,China.

C. COMPETITION EVENTS
1. Taolu Events
Men’s:
- Changquan, Daoshu and Gunshu Combined.
- Nanquan and Nangun Combined
.- Taijiquan and Taijijian Combined.
Women’s:
- Changquan, Jianshu and Qiangshu Combined.
- Nanquan and Nandao Combined.
- Taijiquan and Taijijian Combined
2. Sanda Events:
Men’s 56kg, Men’s 70kg, Men’s 85kg
Women’s 52kg, Women’s 60kg, Women’s 70kg
D. PARTICIPATION METHODS
1. Each qualified athlete may only participate within the event he or she has qualified for.
2. Each athlete should bring along with him/her a valid Health Certificate (including electrocardiogram (ECG) test, electroencephalogram (EEG) test, pulse and blood pressure) issued within 30 days prior to the start of the competition signed by a qualified doctor and a Life Accidental Injury Insurance Certificate. A l athletes are required to submit a completed and signed waiver of liabilities form.
3. Each qualified athlete must be submitted to the IWUF by the IWUF Member Federations/Associations.
E. ENTRIES
All Teams must confirm their final entry athletes before March 15th, 2025 (Beijing Time).
F. PASSPORT & VISA REQUIREMEMTS
1. All TWG 2025 participants must hold their valid passports, to ensure as few complications during visa application and travel as possible. It is suggested that a l participants’ passports are valid for at least six (6) months following their final day of travel.
2. Teams that require visa invitation letters should state their requests to the Organizing Committee of TWG 2025 before April 23rd, 2025 (Beijing Time). It is essential for getting the VISA invitation letter in time.
3. Due to the frequent updating of the visa-free policy country list, the Visa Policy will be provided by IWGA in February 2025. In the meantime, queries can be sent to: participantservices@theworldgames2025.com and visa@theworldgames.com.
