The World Kungfu Championships (WKFC), hosted by the IWUF, is an international level sporting event established in 2004 to propagate the development of wushu around the world. As there are dozens of kungfu (traditional wushu) styles represented in the WKFC, these championships offer a unique platform for thousands of practitioners of all ages and varying skill levels to come together every two years. At the WKFC, mutual understanding is fostered through skill and cultural exchanges. In the spirit of sport, growth, development, and health are the core values of the event. The World Kungfu Championships provides a festive foundation for building connections and nurturing passion for the practice of wushu.

5.AGE CATEGORIES
- Group A: 11 years of age and below (born in and after 2014);
- Group B: From 12 to 14 years of age (the year of birth: 2011 - 2013);
- Group C: From 15 to 17 years of age (the year of birth: 2008 - 2010);
- Group D: From 18 to 39 years of age (the year of birth: 1986 - 2007);
- Group E: From 40 to 59 years of age (the year of birth: 1966 - 1985);
- Group F: 60 years of age and above (born in and before 1965).
6. QUALIFICATIONS
6.1. Membership
Only those federations/associations which have paid their IWUF annual membership fees for 2024 and
2025 will be permitted to participate in the 10 th WKFC.
New IWUF member federations may be invited to take part in the 10 th WKFC after their membership
applications have been accepted by the IWUF.
6.2. Athlete
Athletes must be citizens or permanent residents of the country that they are representing.
Athletes who have dual citizenship can only represent one (1) country/territory in the championships.
7. PARTICIPATION METHODS
Each member federation can enter at most one (1) team, hereinafter referred to as the "Team".
Each Team shall be comprised of members of the following roles: one (1) team leader, one (1) coach, one (1)
doctor, one (1) team judge, athletes (the number of athletes permitted is not limited), and observers (the
number of observers permitted is not limited).
Each athlete may, at most, register to participate in:
- One (1) individual bare-hand routine
- One (1) individual weapon routine
- One (1) Duilian (Choreographed sparring) routine
- One (1) Jiti event (Group routine)
Each Team may at most register one (1) Duilian (Choreographed sparring) routine, comprised of at most three
(3) people (the genders and ages may be mixed).
Each Team may at most register one (1) Jiti event (Group routine). The genders and ages of the athletes within this group are not limited. Each group must comprise of at least six (6) athletes.
Jiti events (Group routines) will be separated into Jiti (Group) bare-hand routines and Jiti (Group) weapon
routines (Group routines mixing bare-hand and weapons will be categorized as weapon routines).
8.COMPETITION METHODES
Competition Rules
Unless otherwise stated within these regulations, the competition will be conducted in accordance with the 2019 IWUF Traditional Wushu Competition Rules and Judging Methods (Trial) (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”).
The Rules may be interpreted solely at the discretion of the IWUF. In the event of language discrepancies in the Rules, the English version shall prevail.

9.1. Final Entry
Final entry must be submitted through the IWUF Online Registration System.

Online registration system of final entry will be open on May 10, 2025, 00:00 (Beijing Time) and closed on September 13, 2025, 24:00 (Beijing Time). Each Team is required to print a copy of the submitted entry and present it during accreditation upon arrival in Emeishan.
All sections of the online entry must be completed in full, including the uploading of those required documents.
All payments due to the LOC must be paid in full for registration to be considered complete.
9.2. Late Entry and Changes Policy
Teams with requests for late entry or changes must submit a written document for approval and shall pay corresponding fees before the late entry and changes deadline, otherwise request will be denied.
The deadline for late entry and changes is due on September 21, 2025, 24:00 (Beijing Time).
After the final entry deadline, any request to change the entry (including late entry) will be handled as follows:
- Late entry is subject to the approval of the IWUF and, if accepted, are subject to a late-entry fee of US$ 50 per participant.
- Replacing a participant is subject to approval by the IWUF and, if accepted, is subject to a replacement fee of US$ 50 per participant.
- If changes are required due to incorrect or missing registration information, those changes are subject to approval by the IWUF and, if accepted, a fee of US$ 20 per change will be charged.
The above fees must be paid via wire transfer to the IWUF before September 21, 2025, 24:00 (Beijing Time):
10.PASSPORT & VISA REQUIREMENTS
10.1. All participants must hold a valid passport and should allow plenty of time for visa application and processing.
10.2. To ensure as few complications during visa application and travel as possible, it is suggested that all participants’ passports are valid for at least six (6) months following their final day of travel.
