IWGA announced the opening of the Media Registration and Accreditation process for overseas media for The World Games 2025, held August 7-17, 2025 in Chengdu, China.
ACCREDITATION

Registration opens on Monday, 10 February 2025
Registration ends on Sunday, 1 June 2025
Applications will be reviewed, and a decision will be communicated by email no later than 10 June 2025.
IMPORTANT
Media access right and the IF / NOC&NSO Media staff access right are different. The participating IF / NOC&NSO Media staff will be accredited as Extra Officials. If you work for an IF or a NOC&NSO, please do not use the link provided above. The registration procedure will be communicated separately for your organisation. However, we encourage you to share it with your media database to promote TWG 2025.
We encourage media to apply as early as possible. Any questions regarding the application procedure should be referred to the IWGA Media and Communication team at press@iwga.sport.
VISAS AND IMMIGRATION
Overseas media representatives must apply for a J2 visa to attend the event, regardless of their nationality. Even individuals from countries eligible for visa-free travel must apply.
